Todd Houchin, LMFT
Currently, I am a university professor teaching traumatology, and in private practice in Bedford Indiana as a licensed marriage and family therapist. I have recently completed the required coursework for a doctorate in community care and counseling with an emphasis in traumatology, and I am currently in the throes of the dissertation phase of this program. I chose a focus in trauma because I noticed these small-t complexities in couples and individuals, and I wanted to learn more about the psychological and physiological impact of experiences few consider traumatic but nonetheless have an impact on the client. I believe this knowledge is vital for couples and individuals struggling to make sense of habitual behaviors and communications that hinder wellbeing and personal growth.
