WHAT WE DO

The Lawrence County Ministerial Alliance promotes unity and community outreach by collaborating in various ways throughout the year.

Monthly LCMA Gatherings

LCMA gathers on the first Wednesday of the month from 8:30 to 9:45 AM. We meet at different churches and locations across the county. Be sure to join our mailing list to stay up-to-date on all the gathering details. We share updates, we have a time of devotion and worship, and we plan ways to collaborate in Kingdom Work.

Youth Network

Every second Tuesday of the month, youth workers get together at one of the various churches around the county to eat lunch, plan events, share resources, and discuss things that matter in the world of youth ministry.

Women in Ministry & Ministry Wives Group

This group for female ministers and the wives of pastors around the county meets every third Thursday of the month from 6:30 to 8:00pm at Mt Pleasant Christian Church. It's all about women supporting women who have a passion for serving God's kingdom here in Lawrence County.

Council Meeting Prayers

Both the Mitchell City Council and the Lawrence County Council invite pastors and ministry leaders from LCMA to lead the invocation at each respective monthly council meeting throughout the year. This is a great opportunity to pray for our communities and our leaders as well as represent the united body of Christ in Lawrence County.

Spring Mill Sunday Services

Every Sunday morning during the camping season at Spring Mill State Park (Sundays at 8:30 AM, May through October) members of LCMA and pastors around the county preach at a worship service in the Meeting House of the Pioneer Village. We sing old hymns, preach by candlelight, and collect an offering to help fund various ministries around the county.

Community Vesper Service

Every September, LCMA hosts a community-wide evening Vesper Service as part of Mitchell's Persimmon Festival. This Sunday night program is typically held in the historic Mitchell Opera House. Members of LCMA help lead Christians from all our various denominations in a night of worship, celebration, and unity.

Good Friday Service

A new tradition for us as of 2022, LCMA collaborates to host a community-wide Good Friday service. This is a night of worship and reflection on Christ's crucifixion. Be looking for information about the next upcoming service.
